NDIS support coordination in Adelaide
The problem
Aspiring Support & Coaching, founded by Ren Mathew Tharakan after more than thirteen years in disability services, provides NDIS support coordination and trains support workers. They had no web presence, so every enquiry started from zero credibility. And an ordinary website would have been the wrong answer here: a provider whose participants live with psychosocial conditions, autism and degenerative conditions cannot have a site those participants struggle to read.
What we built
A thirteen-tool accessibility toolbar
Bold text, a dyslexia-friendly font, adjustable line height and letter spacing, high contrast, grayscale, inverted colours, highlighted links and titles, a reading guide, a big cursor and a reduce-motion switch. Every choice is remembered in the browser, so a returning visitor keeps their settings.
Written for NDIS participants and their families
Support coordination, support worker training, and specialist areas covering psychosocial conditions, autism and degenerative conditions, all explained in plain language rather than plan jargon.
Two audiences on one site
The site speaks to NDIS participants looking for coordination and to support workers and organisations looking for training, which are different readers with different questions.
A team page that does the selling
In disability services people choose the person, not the brand. The team section leads with real experience, including that staff speak English, Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil and Arabic, which matters enormously to families who do not use English at home.
Hand-built, no framework
Plain HTML, around 34KB of hand-written CSS and roughly 26KB of vanilla JavaScript, with no framework and no build step. On a site whose whole point is accessibility, shipping less code is part of the accessibility.
The outcome
A professional front door that turns cold traffic into real conversations, and one that participants with a vision or reading difficulty can adjust to suit themselves rather than give up on.
